For the longest time, I didn’t believe in demonic attacks. During my late 40s, I had a very secular worldview, and I thought it didn’t matter what way of life my friends and acquaintances followed. Most of them happened to be pagans– people into witchcraft, divination, astrology, etc.
Apparently, it was a dark, toxic spiritual environment to be in. That was when I witnessed the presence of true evil.
One night, I dreamed I was being suffocated by a demonic being; but the odd thing was I was experiencing suffocation in the real world.
It was an experience of sheer terror. Instinctively, I called for Christ to help me, and I mentally recited the Lord’s prayer. That was powerful enough to drive away the demon.
For the first time in my life, I had to face the reality of spiritual evil. My life was never the same after that. I was fortunate enough to discover Derek Prince’s YouTube videos about spiritual warfare. Soon after, I realized that Christianity was the only answer to combat dark, evil forces. I returned to my Catholic roots and learned everything I could about deliverance.
